Effective Date: January 1, 2026. Last updated: January 1, 2026.
By accessing or using the website at urbanainsulation.com (the "Site") or by requesting, scheduling, or receiving services from Urbana Insulation ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our Site or services.
These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and others who interact with our Site or request our services. Using our Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Urbana Insulation provides residential and commercial insulation services in and around Urbana, IL, including but not limited to spray foam insulation, attic insulation, blown-in insulation, crawl space insulation, basement insulation, wall insulation, air sealing, vapor barrier installation, insulation removal, and related work.
All services are subject to availability, site conditions, and scheduling. We reserve the right to decline any project at our discretion.
Written estimates are provided free of charge following an on-site assessment. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated in writing.
An estimate is not a binding contract. A project begins only when both parties have agreed to a written scope of work and any required deposit has been received. Prices are subject to change if site conditions differ materially from those observed during the estimate, if the scope of work changes at the customer's request, or if material costs change significantly before work begins.
Any price changes will be communicated in writing before additional work proceeds. We will not perform work beyond the agreed scope without your prior written approval.
Appointments are scheduled by mutual agreement. We ask that you provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. We reserve the right to reschedule if conditions at the job site are unsafe, if weather prevents safe completion of work, or if required materials are unavailable.
If you cancel a project after work has begun, you are responsible for the cost of labor and materials used up to the point of cancellation, plus any reasonable costs incurred to restore the site to a safe condition.
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area. This includes clearing stored items from attic hatches, crawl space entries, or other areas where work will be performed, and ensuring that pets and people not directly involved in the project are away from the work area.
For spray foam insulation projects, you and all occupants (including pets) must vacate the treated area for the re-entry period specified by our crew, typically a minimum of 24 hours. Failure to follow re-entry guidelines is your responsibility and releases us from liability for any issues resulting from premature re-occupancy.
You are responsible for disclosing known conditions at the property - such as existing moisture problems, mold, pest activity, or prior damage - that could affect the work. Failure to disclose material conditions may affect the outcome of the project and any warranty.
Payment is due as specified in the written project agreement. For most projects, a deposit is required before scheduling and the balance is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept payment by check, cash, and electronic transfer. Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of estimate. Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date are subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance, or the maximum rate permitted by Illinois law, whichever is less.
If collection action is required to recover unpaid amounts, you agree to pay reasonable attorneys fees and collection costs in addition to the outstanding balance.
We stand behind our work. Specific warranty terms, including duration and coverage, are provided in the written project agreement or on a separate warranty document issued at project completion.
Warranty coverage is limited to defects in workmanship under normal conditions and does not extend to damage caused by subsequent modifications, improper use, moisture or water intrusion unrelated to our work, pest activity, or conditions that were not disclosed prior to the project. Product warranties from manufacturers are separate from our workmanship warranty and are governed by the manufacturer's own terms.
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing to sales@urbanainsulation.com. We will schedule an inspection and respond within a reasonable time.
Except as expressly stated in a written warranty provided to you, our services and Site are provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, beyond those stated in your written project agreement. We do not warrant that the results of our services will meet any specific performance target unless that target is expressly stated in writing.
Energy savings, comfort improvements, and other outcomes described on our Site or in marketing materials are illustrative and not guarantees. Results vary based on home construction, usage patterns, local climate, and other factors outside our control.
To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law, Urbana Insulation is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of our Site or from our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that specific project. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions at your property that we did not cause or that were not disclosed to us before work began.
The content on our Site - including text, images, and other materials - is provided for general informational purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use our Site content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
We make reasonable efforts to keep Site content accurate and current, but we do not warrant that all information on the Site is complete, error-free, or up to date. Service availability, pricing, and other details are subject to change.
If a dispute arises between you and Urbana Insulation, we ask that you contact us first to try to resolve it directly. Most concerns can be addressed quickly by reaching out to us at sales@urbanainsulation.com or (217) 207-0899.
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, both parties agree to attempt good-faith mediation before pursuing litigation. Any legal action not resolved through mediation must be filed in a court of competent jurisdiction in Illinois.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Illinois.
We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes take effect when posted to the Site with an updated effective date. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically. Continued use of our Site or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
